The price is supposed to be in between Diana Mr and TC, yet it is claimed to be the highest performing Diana model yet. So does it replace the TC at lower cost? understood it as the new TC. It’ll sit between the 1266 and MR. Maybe i misunderstood?

Looks awesome. I really enjoy the MR and I’ve been thinking about picking up a TC but I was always concerned that it would be too analytical.

And I have to wonder what was the code name for this headphone during its creation phase?

Thank you! We were calling it TC2 for some time, then XX. Diana (Joe’s wife) ultimately gave it a name.

I wouldn't call them the same headphone. They don't all wound the same, just have very similar look. Focal has 5 or 6 headphones with the same shape. They have different body colors, so they are more distinguishable, but not much of a difference between different Diana's and different Focal models

Oh yea. The Diana TC is every bit good just smaller scale. CA-1a level though.

What fix? 1266 already has a headband
Tbh though I find 1266 very comfortable and I prefer their open design with air circulation to regular clamping headphones like susvara/caldera

Seems like you're the odd exception here.
1266 has horrible fit and comfort.
It sounds great but unfortunately the good part ends there.

That sound in an actually comfortable construction would be amazing though
